Kei HR vs BambooHR

If you want a broad suite, a published review score, or US payroll, BambooHR is built for that. Kei HR does not claim those. This page is for a buyer who wants the HR essentials, a price they can read, and data hosted in Europe.

Can I read the price without booking a call?

Yes. Kei HR prices are on this site. BambooHR is quoted by phone, so this page cannot put a BambooHR monthly figure next to them.

Fifteen users costs £85. Sixteen users costs £84, because the lower rate replaces the higher one for the whole team. The calculator on the pricing page repeats this for any headcount.

Does Kei HR file payroll to HMRC?

No. BambooHR payroll is a US-only paid add-on. Kei HR payroll is a calculation inside the product, not a filing service and not a paid extra.

You track hours, including people who are not all in one office. Pay for a salaried person or an hourly person is worked out from those hours. You can mark a run paid when the numbers look right.

That does not submit PAYE, RTI, or pensions to HMRC. A UK team that has to file still needs a filing route beside Kei HR. Overtime can be included when pay is calculated for a salaried person. Lunch can be deducted from tracked hours when you set timesheets that way.

What proof does Kei HR not publish?

BambooHR publishes a score of 4.4 from 5,800+ reviews, and SOC II. Kei HR does not publish a review score or a review count, and does not claim SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Documents keep version history and an audit trail. Permissions are per feature. An employee record can hold payment details and a department name.

What should a UK team check first?

Read the monthly number before you book a call. Five users is £35. Twenty users is £100. BambooHR does not publish an equivalent figure here, because the quote is by phone.

Check the payroll limit in the same sitting. Kei HR will show salary and hourly amounts and let you mark a run paid. It will not send PAYE, RTI, or pensions to HMRC.

Check the proof you are not getting. There is no review score, no SOC 2, and no ISO 27001 claim. Data is in AWS Europe (Ireland). The trial is 3 days, not a month, and it does not ask for a card.

Time off still covers accruals, carryovers, and regional holidays. A time-off email can include a calendar file. Training can be recorded on the person. None of those replace the filing gap above.

Who is this page not for?

It is not for a buyer who needs a published review score, SOC 2, or US payroll filing. BambooHR is the product that publishes those. Kei HR does not.

It is for a buyer who will type a headcount, read £35 or £100, and accept that HMRC filing stays outside the product. The 3-day trial is the check. It is not a sales workshop, and it does not ask for a card.

A hybrid team can record hours with a location and still see one pay total. People who are not in the office are not a second system. The same record holds the department, the payment details, and any training note.
